Blackboard Jungle
Movies about inspirational teachers are common, but this one---although quite dated---has some grit to it. Glenn Ford has the task of trying to educate a wide array of tough teens in the (overrated) ’50s, including Sidney Poitier and Vic Morrow (the Twilight Zone victim).
