Katharine Birbalsingh, who has become known as Britain’s strictest headteacher, has accused Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson of being a “Marxist” who “hates academies”.The head of Michaela Community School in Wembley, she wrote an open letter to Phillipson after they met this week to discuss Labour’s plans to reform the academy system.
