UAWIL #83: Rolling Stones Live in Hyde Park Review
The Rolling Stones made a huge impression on The Wolf & Action Jackson as teenagers and their music has been the backbone of their rock n roll journey for decades. We first saw them on Steel Wheels as teenagers and have explored every chapter of their catalog like rock n roll archeologists. Though I vowed not to chase after the Stones anymore years ago, the opportunity to see them in Hyde Park while living in London was too much to pass up. Celebrating 60 years of live music, Saturday June 25, 2022 in Hyde Park was the first time the band played London with out Charlie Watts. In front of 85,000 fans, including the 8 year old Wolf Cub, the Stones played tribute to Charlie and showed they weren't just a legacy act but still the best in the business. Action & I run through the setlist, the grounds, the crowd, the Keith songs, the getting in & the escape at the end. It was a special night in London and I'm glad I was there.
