Om Podcasten

Blackness is not a monolithic culture as displayed in the media. The diversity of the Black experience has a lot to do with where we’re raised. But what about when we migrate into a different country where the dynamics of race are different than how we learned to navigate our Blackness? How do we adapt? Do we assimilate? Millennial Blacks from the diaspora are finding themselves all over the globe as they migrate for school, life, work or to escape the cultural confines they experienced back home. As I interview Blacks across the world, we will look at how their identity is formed, experienced, accepted or rejected as we explore the intersectionality of culture and race. As the world becomes more global than ever, this podcast will allow us to see what is like to be Black when we are uprooted from our comfort zones.
