E41: Biblical Unity & Justice w/ Monique Duson

Jake & Mike talk with Monique Duson, co-founder of Center for Biblical Unity about her story of founding CBFU and her mission to promote a vision for racial healing based on the historic Christian worldview.   About the Center for Biblical Unity: In a culture polarized by race, and where conversations about race often lead to division, strife, and blame, the Center For Biblical Unity exists to lead respectful and Bible-centered conversations on race, unity, and justice.  They believe that the solution to these issues must start with Scripture. They begin with defining terms according to Scripture, not culture. Their aim is to use Scripture to define terms like humanity, race, love, and justice. We also want to bring practical tools for clergy and lay people to walk out the ideals of racial unity and biblical justice. We’ve got an overwhelming, unrelenting stream of ideas being thrown at us on a daily basis - many of which contradict long standing theological traditions that are the bedrock of our faith. Every week we’ll examine those ideas, hold them up against scripture, and attempt to better understand how we’re supposed to think about life, faith and culture in this wild world we’re living in.
