127 - Dr. Tung Nguyen - PIVOT Founder and President

Dr. Tung Nguyen is Chair of AAPI Victory Alliance and President of PIVOT-The Progressive Vietnamese American Organization, both 501c4 organizations dedicated to the AAPI progressive movement. He is also a pioneer in Asian American health research, a practicing primary care physician, and a professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).Dr. Nguyen served as a Commissioner on President Obama’s Advisory Commission on AAPIs from 2011 to 2014, and as the Chair of the Commission from 2014- 2017. He led the Commission in the first massive resignation from the Trump Administration after it implemented the Muslim ban in 2017.He is also a co-founder and serves on the board of AAPI Victory Fund.
