e297. Cheesy Christmas Movies Five!

Every year around Christmas we do a special that talks about the latest offerings in a weird little emergent pop culture niche. The Cheesy Christmas Movie. Of course this year, with the two Hollywood Strikes killing content for much of the year, we didn’t have as much to choose from in the name of content to absorb. Did that stop us? NOPE! Not at all! So on this episode, Hannah and Mav are joined by fellow Christmas Movie aficionados Gwen Tarbox and Justin Wigard to discuss and review their favorites (and LEAST favorite) Christmas movies of the year, talk about how the strikes and other cultural happenings have affected the crop of films, and talk about just what makes this genre so great. Do you agree? Do you disagree? Well listen and let us know your thoughts in the comments! Om Podcasten

Vox Populorum is a blog and podcast devoted to pop culture criticism. We believe that the best way to understand culture is to discuss it. But we also believe that it's a lot more fun to have these conversations throwing back a couple beers at the bar rather than in a classroom. Please join our weekly round table of media critics, academics, creators, artists, professors, students and fans for an engaging discussion about movies, novels, comic books, television, video games, music or whatever else we happen to think of! Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit.
