e341. #Games4SocialImpact 2024: The Rise of Jerry

On this week’s “very special episode” of VoxPopcast, join Mav as he once again chaperones his university’s yearly game jam, “#Games4SocialImpact” at the University of Pittsburgh. On this yearly episode Mav interviews students in the midst of the 3 day design marathon as they build games that explore social issues. This year’s theme is “Public”. Mav interviews several teams as they explain everything from what they hope to learn from this process, to how they pick their teams, to how they approach the design process, to the sheer madness that descends upon them as they work around the clock. And, it’s all a lot of fun. So listen and then leave them encouraging comments below. Om Podcasten

Vox Populorum is a blog and podcast devoted to pop culture criticism. We believe that the best way to understand culture is to discuss it. But we also believe that it's a lot more fun to have these conversations throwing back a couple beers at the bar rather than in a classroom. Please join our weekly round table of media critics, academics, creators, artists, professors, students and fans for an engaging discussion about movies, novels, comic books, television, video games, music or whatever else we happen to think of! Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit.
