For the last twenty five years, Professor David Nott has taken unpaid leave from his role as a Consultant Vascular and Trauma Surgeon in the NHS to work for aid agencies overseas. As well as treating patients affected by conflict and catastrophe and raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charitable causes, he also teaches advanced surgical skills to local medics and surgeons.
