Importance of Rest & Recovery with Endurance Coach John Bryan

  Name of Expert: John Bryan Who They Are & Something Only The People Closest To Them Know: He is a 'later in life' sports coach. He came to this after a long career in the media business. He started training in the 50’s. His specialty is working with endurance athletes. He is a USA Olympic Triathlon and Cycling coach. He loves working with athletes that are embarking on their endurance journeys like half marathons, marathons, and triathlons. Their Battle, Mentally Or Physically, They Fought And Came Out A Warrior: He was really fit in his 20s and then got really unfit. He was smoking 2 packs a day and was really unhealthy. On his 40th birthday, someone took a picture of him getting out of the pool and didn’t like what he saw. He made a bet with his then 6-year-old son that he could give up smoking and drinking better than he could give up candy. Warrior They Look Up To: Any of his clients that come in with no experience and decide they want to do an endurance race and faithfully stick to the training plan, directions, and races successfully without getting hurt.
