It took an unwitting decision by a UEFA, otherwise delighted that Budapest has been offering full stadium capacity for Euro 2020, to bring Hungary's illiberal streak to a head. Europe's football governing body barred Munich from lighting up the Allianz Arena in rainbow colours to protest Viktor Orban's new anti-LGBT law. There had been protests in Budapest. Now, the rest of the EU is paying attention.
