Macron contracts Covid-19, Biden wins again, Nigerian schoolboys freed, remembering John le Carré

A fever, a cough, and fatigue... Emmanuel Macron is the latest head of state to have contracted the coronavirus. The French president is now self-isolating at La Lanterne; a guest house on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles which is an official residence for French presidents. From there, Macron is soldiering on with his official engagements and also taking to social media. Good luck in contact-tracing the 42-year-old workaholic: Over the past week, Macron’s schedule has been filled with meetings and public appearances.
