S5E1: Viral Haemorrhagic Fever | The National Isolation Unit

Welcome back to TheCase.Report, it's our first episode of season 5! It's hard to believe that we're moving into the 5th year of TCR! All the way back in our first ever episode we had an infective case that was very topical at the time - covid - And so to kick things off for Season 5, we're looking at another highly infective case of viral haemorrhagic fever. Joining us on our case this month are our NCHDs Conor O’Gara, Leah Flanagan and Ralph Hurley O’Dwyer, who treat us to a comprehensive run through of the case. We were delighted to be joined by Dr Deirdre Morley and Dr Catherine Uhomoibhi for the second segment in the episode. They are working as co-leads on the development of the National High Level Isolation Unit (HLIU), and discuss the process of designing the HLIU as well as some Irish-led international simulation they've been leading in the Infective Diseases sphere. As always, don’t forget to follow us on socials on instagram, x and facebook to keep updated with all things TCR. Coffee in hand? Right then, let’s get to it!
