The company continued on with many notable hits in the following years. They continued to survive despite not having a succession plan with the death of Michael Kogan. The company was hurt by their delay in transitioning to 3d, and a lack of direction in regards to the home market. Taito still lives today as a wholly owned subsidiary of Square-Enix.
