I explore Chapter 5 of Lenin's The State and Revolution after a very late night of discussing this very work with an Anarchist friend. Yes, this is my round-about apology for my dry mouth in the first half of this episode... Besides that small auditory nuisance, this chapter is fantastic, full of direct explanations of Marx, Engels, and Lenin's views on the "early stages/phases of communism" and the "higher stages of communism", the transition between socialism and communism, and the role and reasoning on the Dictatorship of the Proletariat.
