Lezmond Mitchell's Case and the Navajo Nation's Plea

Hi guys! It's been a while since I posted an episode but I am back.  This week, I wanted to dive into the case of Lezmond Mitchell, the sole Native American on federal death row. He is set to be executed on August 26th so I thought it would be a perfect time to talk about his case and the Navajo Nation's fight to commute his sentence to life imprisonment.  What are your thoughts on the federal government going through with this execution even though it goes against the tribal sovereignty and beliefs of the Navajo people? Do you think Mitchell will be executed on the 26th?  If you liked this episode, make sure to leave me a 5 star review on Apple Podcast and check out my social media accounts @TimeofDeathPod for more information.

Each week we will discuss the big news stories of the week as well as do a deep dive into a specific topic. This topic could be anything, a profile on an inmate or a state's history with the death penalty. So, if you're ready, stay tuned!
