62. Personal Reflection: On Internalized Racism & Dismantling A Legacy Of Bigotry

Today is a first: I break format to reflect on what race means (and doesn't mean) to me. As a Thai and Sioux Indian woman, raised in a racist household, disconnected from both my Thai and Sioux heritage, I admit this gives me the privilege of being ambiguously ethnic, where people often forget that I’m not white. We are 47 days post George Floyd’s death and the world should look different. I want to know: what have you been mulling over these last couple of months? How’s your heart?

Om Podcasten

This is the podcast for moms who don't have time for podcasts. You're a mom in the middle. Maybe that's midlife, midday, or mid-mess. You're in the middle years of motherhood but also wondering what comes next. Indiana Adams is there, too. She's been a trusted voice on the internet for 25 years and this podcast is like a quick phone call, catching up with an old friend- you Internet Bestie™️. Each episode of My Internet Besties will be under 20 minutes; that's just enough time to share recommendations, laugh at the ridiculous things we see online, and cheer each other on. This short and sweet podcast just became your new best friend. // My Internet Besties is the name of the community that formed from the podcast Today By The Way. Consider My Internet Besties season two of TBTW, which ran for 96 episodes starting Dec. 2, 2019.
