S19E16: Send Me An Angel | Corey Feldman

80's heartthrob Corey Feldman is an integral piece of film history from the decade. In movies like Gremlins, The Goonies, Stand By Me, and - alongside the second half of "The Two Coreys," Corey Haim - The Lost Boys, he was simply everywhere and seemingly in everything. Behind the scenes, however, his story was a much harder road - an abusive family, childhood sexual exploitation, and increasingly dire substance misuse. His adulthood, including two divorces and a just-announced third, is very clearly influenced by that childhood stolen by Hollywood and fame. Here's the very odd Today Show performance of Corey Feldman and his Angels (YouTube link). Content note: This episode includes allegations of child abuse, sexual exploitation, and substance misuse. To jump ahead to the start of the adult chapter of Corey's life, advance to around minute 35, depending on which ads are served earlier in the episode.
