We think of him as Hollywood royalty, a star born of a star, but the truth is that Michael Douglas's father, Kirk Douglas, wasn't famous when Michael was young, and by the time Kirk was a box office winner, he was actively panning his son's college theater efforts to try to dissuade him from the biz.
