S4E7: Hit Me With Your Best Shot | Hulk Hogan and Linda Bollea & Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth

The genius of professional wrestling in the Vince McMahon era is likely the creation of near mythological characters whose real lives are often rolled up into the unreal world in which they work. Hulk Hogan was one of the most famous people in America in the 1980s and 1990s, a wholesome brute of a character who admonished his “Hulkamaniac” fans to train, say their prayers, and take their vitamins. The reality was different. His vitamins were anabolic steroids, and his wife Linda believed that he was frequently unfaithful to her. Stacie has all the salacious details of their divorce, his sex tape scandal, and the ongoing legal drama that seems to be a permanent fixture for the former couple. As comically bad as that was, Alicia has a sadder story still: the real life love between Randy “Macho Man” Savage and Miss Elizabeth, the First Lady of Professional Wrestling.
