TTI Peer Support Group (Virtual & Monthly)
Survivor & Advocate Lisa Spears, invites Survivors of the Troubled Teen Industry to a monthly peer support group via Zoom. Partners are welcome to join, but we ask that you be present in a support capacity. Sorry parents, staff, public, this one is not for you. Because of the nature of peer-on-peer pressure programming, the cure is in the cause and the light shines from the womb. We cannot learn to trust without experiencing safe relationships. Are you ready to try? Please remember that we are NOT the program. None of us. Please do not bring the program into this peer group. Let’s not use their lexicon. This is not The Game, feedback will not be tolerated. This is a come as you are safe space. Roll up a joint, cuss battle your favorite drowned sailor, please include all puppies. Please give Lisa Spears some love for this much needed offering of mental health support to our community. Give her a big round of applause for organizing a second November round for the Right to Rights Rally so that Survivors will have virtual peer support.
