Ep109 - The Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Murders

In the early 1970s, in California, a number of women went missing while hitchhiking in the Santa Rosa and Sonoma County area. All of the women were later found dead. And the number of victims is debated but most believe there are at least 7 and mostly likely 8 victims. To make matters even worse, there were a large number of other unsolved homicides around that time in the area that could possibly be related. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss these women who lost their lives while hitchhiking. Are all these deaths attributable to one killer, multiple killers working together, or multiple killers working completely independent of one another. So there is a lot to unravel here. How many killers, how many victims are part of these series of murders and who was responsible for all of the other murders of women during that time frame? There have been many big-name suspects floated around in this case that we will talk about. Suspects that are very well known in the annals of true crime.
