Linda Weldy

Ten-year-old Linda Weldy stepped off her school bus on February 24th, 1987, and was never seen alive again. Police believe that she made it to the end of her long driveway before she was taken from her Indiana home. Three weeks later, Linda's body was found just fifteen minutes from her home atop an old trestle bridge. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the case of the abduction and murder of little Linda Weldy. The police were not called until after 11:00 PM the night Linda went missing because her mother worked second shift and her mother's boyfriend believed Linda was staying at a friend's house. The police began their investigation by looking at the family and then outward. But, they have never been able to come up with a motive for Linda's murder. A detective now working the cold case believes he knows who the murderer is but as of now does not have enough evidence to announce it or move forward.
