46: Kelli Berens-Brink

Kelli Berens-Brink is the host of the “True Crime IRL” podcast, where she covers a new case in each weekly episode, in addition to “Murder Minute” mini-episodes. Bob and Kelli discuss her burgeoning true crime podcast relationship status, hosting a radio show, and all things Midwest. They also discuss the murder of Amy Mullis. In 2018 in Iowa, Amy was found with a corn rake in her back on her family farm. Todd, Amy’s husband, drove her to the hospital where she eventually passed away. Initially, investigators thought it was just an unfortunate accident, until the medical examiner noted that they found six puncture wounds, despite the fact that the rake had only four tines. Suspicion was immediately turned towards Todd and investigators uncovered some dirty secrets in the family that may have provided a motive for the crime.
