Turning 30 and Choosing an Alternative Path Ft. Emily Shain

What does it mean to choose the alternative path? Sometimes in life we make decisions that aren’t exactly what our younger selves had in mind. Sometimes in life we make life choices that those around us don’t fully ‘get’, or that aren’t in line with the choices of our parents or peers. It takes a certain amount of courage to be able to stay true to yourself and do what is really calling you, and that is what this week’s podcast interview is all about. I have invited my friend and client Emily Shain to share with us her experience of not going down the conventional route, and following her intuition to become a yoga teacher, holistic therapist and coach in her twenties. Her journey has also led her to move countries TWICE in one decade, following her wish to live in nature and move to Panama, a place where she feels connected to her values. If you have ever considered making a life-changing decision (or have already made one) but you struggle with other people’s opinions or how to integrate what you really want with how your external reality looks, this episode is going to inspire and expand you. Most of all it's going to help you to know that you have the power to pick the path that is right for you. As well as sharing her personal story and how she has dealt with fear of other’s opinions and societies’ expectations, we also talk about practical tools of ‘embodiment’ i.e. how to actually become that person that you really want to be!
