Two Minutes in Trade - You May Be Liable: The DOJ Files Civil Suit Against Corporate Officer for Duty Evasion

  On October 24th, the DOJ filed a lawsuit against Lawrence Bivona, the President of Lajobi, Inc., in the U.S. Court of International Trade. The lawsuit alleges that Bivona, as president of the corporation, made false statements to customs officials and, as a result, avoided paying antidumping duties owed on the imported furniture.
