Our guest today is Saraswathy Ramamoorthy, cofounder at Learning Matters, a Bengaluru-based education technology organization that is transforming the way teachers teach and students learn. An early childhood education (ECCE) expert by heart and passion, she has worked in various facets of the education domain as an educator and educationist for more than 20 years. Her core expertise is in designing and developing educational curricula and programs, teaching children, training teachers, as well as creating digital education products and programs Saraswathy started her rich career in education with two M.S. degrees from Purdue University, USA - one in Child Development and Family Studies and another in Special Education. Her formative years were spent in the classroom teaching children as young as 1 year old as well as training young students about to embark on a career in teaching. Some of her youngest students are still in touch with her, almost 20 years later! She has learned, imbibed, and implemented educational perspectives and pedagogical practices from many different philosophies and countries and beautifully blends the best of them all into her approach to and work in education and edtech. Saraswathy is also a proficient and skilled writer and public speaker. She is especially passionate about empowering and enabling women - something very close to her heart.
