By all accounts, Betsy Aardsma was a normal girl. She came from a loving family in small-town Holland, Michigan. She had a passion for public service and dreamed of joining the Peace Corps. After she graduated from the University of Michigan in 1969, Betsy followed her boyfriend to Penn State to get a masters degree. While researching a paper in the library, Betsy was murdered.
