40. EN. The smart urban farming - Sepehr Mousavi

Sepehr Mousavi (Head of Innovation, Chief Sustainability Officer and founding partner of SweGreen). SweGreen is an innovation and technology urban farming company based in Stockholm, Sweden. Sepher is talking about vertical farming and how it is revolutionizing the industry by providing futuristic, smart and circular solutions for controlled-environment urban farming. By integrating smart vertical farming solutions into real-estate properties they provide circular energy-waste-water and carbon-absorbing systems, which not only enables to offer locally grown and top-notch quality greens, but also helps minimize any facility’s environmental footprint. We are talking about how vertical farming can be integrated in restaurants, co working spaces, schools and and create more life and sense of community in the cities. Moreover, we are discussing how the policies and regulations make it difficult to smart innovations to work on developing the different models e.g. vertical farming in the cities.
