James Chester: “I came to Aston Villa to get the club promoted”

James Chester returns to Bodymoor Heath to reflect on his career and time at the club in the sixth episode of Villa Podcast: The Official Aston Villa Podcast. Kate Tracey and Alan McInally sat down with James in a new location of the Boardroom at Bodymoor Heath where he spoke about coming through the Manchester United Academy, overcoming several severe knee injuries, and his fondest memories as a Villain. The former Wales international talks about learning from the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and John Terry. Now playing for Salford City, he tells us how hard it is to give up on your playing career, despite injury setbacks. And we also hear how he is officially an Aston Villa fan after falling in love with the club during his time here.
