The VOCAL GIRLS podcast is the series where music journalist and VOCAL GIRLS Founder, Megan Graye, chats to artists about their past, present and future, and the music that intertwines these experiences. This week, Megan's speaking to to pioneering Broadcaster and DJ, Jaguar Jaguar has had an incredible few years; not only has she been named Mixmag Broadcaster of 2021, but she’s also been given the award for Best Radio Show by DJ Mag for her BBC introducing Dance show. She’s also responsible for the launch of Future1000 in collab with Virtuoso, an amazing initiative designed to help more young women, non-binary and trans artists learn how to DJ. And aside from all of this she runs her night, Utopia which she’s just announced the UK tour of. We chatted a few weeks back and Jaguar told me all about how she broke into the competitive industry of doing and broadcasting, hosting the first ever introducing dance show on the BBC and trying sober DJing.Jaguar's song choices:Past: The Farplane Abyss - Noriko Matsueda and Takahito EguchiPresent: Jasper Tygner & Joe Hertz - EqualsFuture: Nia Archives - 18 & Over@vocalgirlsclub@megangraye_Vocalgirls.comThis podcast is produced, edited and presented by Megan Graye.
