Private Sector
The COVID-19 pandemic is a disaster that combines a biological threat with several vulnerabilities, such as weak institutional and governance capacity of health and risk management systems, poverty and inequality, environmental degradation, displacement, food insecurity, and other disaster risk drivers. In this third episode we reflect on the role of the private sector in disaster risk reduction and business resilience. We want to thank Adam McAllister, Chloe Demrovsky, Ciro Ugarte and Joyce Coffee for sharing their experience with us. Resilient Voices is made possible by the Government of Japan, German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and United States Agency for International Development’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (USAID BHA). We want to highlight their invaluable contribution to make this podcast a reality. *** Credits: Host: Delfina Moreno Della Cecca Script and production: Florencia Flores Iborra Sound mix: Rodrigo Ruesta Graphic design and illustrations: Vivi Maidanik Music: "Belonging", "Downstream", "Under a blanket", "Silhouettes" & "Somewhere" by Muted for Artlist.
