CW: This conversation covers some of the darker side of the film and music industries. Today my guest is actress, writer, and producer - Susie Abromeit. Susie is one of those extremely talented individuals that has been pursuing her passions her entire life! In this episode, Susie and I journey through her parent's history to being a top-ranked tennis player (#6 in the US) by the age of 16 to her singing career to her making an impact on-camera acting and producing. Susie is most known for her role in Jessica Jones. She currently has a 4 picture deal with GAC Family. What I appreciated the most about this conversation with Susie is that despite navigating many performance-based industries- tennis, music, modeling, and film, she knows herself. She is extremely self-aware but also confident in who she is. We talk about how manifesting our dreams, manipulative power dynamics in the music and film industry, the value of being in nature and taking care of your mental health and more.
