Get Out the Vitavote!
We discuss ten new DVD releases this week, including BUGS BUNNY SUPERSTAR (1975), two new collections of early sound Vitaphone shorts - VITAPHONE VARIETIES: VOLUME TWO (1927-31) and THE VITAPHONE COMEDY COLLECTION VOL. 1 - ROSCOE 'FATTY' ARBUCKLE/SHEMP HOWARD (1932-34). There are also three films starring the future President, Ronald Reagan which include the comedy, THE GIRL FROM JONES BEACH (1949), and the dramas THAT HAGEN GIRL (1947) and THE VOICE OF THE TURTLE (1947). We round off the podcast with four TNT telefilms including Kris Kristofferson in MIRACLE IN THE WILDERNESS (1991), FRANKENSTEIN (1992) starring Randy Quaid as the Monster, Tom Selleck in BROKEN TRUST (1995) and the return of Ponch and Jon in CHiPs '99 (1999).
