Sailing with the Silents
We discuss six new DVD releases, and six feature films now back in print. First we talk about two sensational swashbucklers, THE SPANISH MAIN (1945) and SINBAD THE SAILOR (1947). Two new silents, THE CIRCLE (1925) and Tod Browning's THE SHOW (1927) make their debut. BOBBY JONES golfing shorts collection from 1931-33 are lured over as is NIGHT COURT's seventh season. Six feature DVDs now back in print include Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon in MADAME CURIE (1943), Judy Garland in THE CLOCK (1945), TEN LITTLE INDIANS (1966), THE HEART IS A LONELY HUNTER (1968), Mark Hamill's Star Wars followup in CORVETTE SUMMER (1978) and THE DISH (2001) with Sam Neill.
