Shirley Temple and Sheer Cinema Pleasures

It's time to order up some guilt-free pleasures as we dine deep on a six-course meal of movie magic that run the gamut from the sexy to the sweet. We ignite our appetites thanks to Ms. Mamie Van Doren as she rocks the rodeo roadhouse in BORN RECKLESS (1958). Then we eat the drug of the devil with William Shatner in WHITE COMANCHE (1968) and wash it down with the heady spirits of THE WILD AFFAIR (1963) with Nancy Kwan and Terry-Thomas. Then we move our meal to the savory and sweet with a Shirley Temple trio that takes her from young teen to young adult, the family drama KATHLEEN (1941) co-starring Herbert Marshall and Laraine Day, then Shirley says sayonara to schoolgirl hood forever on her HONEYMOON (1947) with Franchot Tone and then seals the adulthood deal with the proto-suffragette dramedy ADVENTURE IN BALTIMORE (1949).
