113: Our guardian Angelo ft. Wally Downes

West Ham fans were saddened to learn about the death of Papa Bouba Diop on Sunday. The Senegalese - or 'The Wardrobe' as he was known - played for the Hammers for just a year in the 2011-12 season but was well liked and immediately gained the respect of his team-mates for his kind nature and outstanding attitude in training. Former Hammers assistant manager Wally Downes was Sam Allardyce's No 2 during Diop's year at the club and Downes dialled in from Jamaica to speak to Will Pugh about his first hand experiences with the gentle giant. Ex-Wimbledon man Downes also told tails of his time at Upton Park under Big Sam and Avram Grant. Chad from Betway joined Will, James Jones and Tom Edwards to celebrate their HUGE charity bet wins after TWO winning selections in Monday's narrow victory against Aston Villa. One of the boys even nailed a 25/1 shot bagging a whopping £1,250 for his charity! The lads dissect the crazy win against Villa that sent the Hammers fifth. The Sun's Manchester United correspondent Neil Custis joined the guys to preview the Red Devils' visit to London Stadium on Saturday night. Name That Game is back and the lads discuss Matt Beard's new social pursuits having left his role as West Ham Women manager last month. Packed show.
