DUNE (1984) Vs DUNE (2021) Vs STAR WARS?! (Spoiler free chat)

I have been waiting for this most recent offering of the Dune Series more so than any other movie this year. Not that I am a massive Dune fan.. not at all... but I have always looked at the huge Frank Herbert novels and wondered what secrets and marvels this vast world holds.  And with effects where they are, and the incredible filmmaker Denis Villeneuve at the helm, I was pretty confident that at last here was my IN! Having tried several times to enter the world through the David Lynch film, I have always failed to grasp the story and have lost the plot and therefore lost interest before the end. But I thought that now I would revisit the old and embrace the new and discuss here and now for anyone who is interested in hearing it. It also made me aware of just how much George Lucas had borrowed from these classic novels to create his own space opera. and so briefly discuss everything star wars borrowed from DuneDune (1984) - https://amzn.to/3jBsyiXSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/wnmovietalk) Hosted on Acast.
