Entering her 40s, she decided to change tracks and follow her passion for the natural world. A Diploma in Natural Resource Management changed her life. This led to an Environmental Science degree... and then Honours... and a PhD on Tawny Frogmouths. She went on to teach at Monash University and share her love of nature with her students. Marian has loved every part of her birding journey, even the difficult bits.
