FRESH VOICES & NEW FACES…People We Should Know! Music was in Katherine’s life from a very young age. She could see that music was a way to serve people and help alleviate suffering, especially around the process of grieving. Katherine sees how we can “become” in each new moment. Her book, “We All Die” will be coming out soon. Meet Katherine... Katherine Ryan Haghighi, M.A., is a trained music therapist who worked in hospice care for 15 years. Katherine has a love of storytelling about living and grieving. For her, there is no separation. She is passionate about recognizing the compelling moments that inspire and provoke what living life is all about. She has presented her work nationally and internationally, authoring, and co-authoring journal articles, chapters, and a multitude of presentations in the areas of music therapy, loss, difficult conversations and diversity. She currently lives in Anchorage, Alaska where she and her husband have chosen to raise their 3 daughters and 4 pugs.
