Fighting For A Living Wage In Hawai'i
Today, workers in Hawai’i are rallying at their State Capitol to raise the state’s minimum wage for the first time since 2018. Christy MacPherson, the Lead Community Developer at the Hawaiʻi Appleseed Center for Law & Economic Justice, joins us to discuss how workers are being affected by low wages in the highest cost-of-living state in the nation. Russia and Ukraine engaged in their third round of talks on Monday, which once again ended without any major progress. The United Nations reported that at least 1.7 million Ukrainians are now refugees, half of whom are children, and tens of thousands of people who are still in Ukraine lack power, heat, water, medicine, and food.
