It’s hard enough knowing what you want in a relationship but to not understand how to be present emotionally for the partner in your life just adds confusion and frustration to the picture. Traditionally men don’t like talking about emotions; that’s often a lesson learned from childhood and it takes time and willingness to accept that emotional maturity is paramount to a long lasting relationship. When a man is emotionally mature and available, they are willing to look ahead and tell you where he sees the relationship going. When men avoid the question, it’s time to slow the roll and dive deeper into his emotions.
