112. Mindy - Pt 1 of 2 - A Survivor's Progress Report

This is part one of a two-part chat with Mindy. In the middle of 2023, Mindy appeared on the WHEN DATING HURTS podcast as “Becca”. It was a name she created to protect her identity from her abuser.  In 2024, she has returned using her real name, Mindy. Mindy wants us to hear how her survivor journey is progressing. It has not been easy, but she wants to share her progress with us. I think you will find this episode fascinating.  It’s possible when we think of a domestic violence survivor, we picture someone who has transcended from the scourge of DV into being free and clear and happy. As if everything has gone back to normal, and all is good.  This is never the case.  In listening to this update, we hear how Mindy struggles over the aftershocks of her eight-year relationship with her ex. She works to completely rid him from her mind, and it takes daily maintenance. We are honored to have Mindy join us to share her progress.
