Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta: Setting in Motion the Wheel of Dhamma ~ The Buddha's First Sermon

The Dhammacakkappavattana-sutta - SN 56.11 - is the Pāli version of what according to tradition was the first discourse spoken by the Buddha, whose delivery of this discourse led to the attainment of stream-entry by one of his first disciples. With this successful outcome, the Buddha had set in motion the “wheel of Dharma.” This is the most famous sutta in the Pali literature where The Buddha expounds the Four Noble Truths for the first time. 🔆 These podcasts are not monetized.
