In college, she found herself in a psychology class and couldn't get enough, which lead her to become the mental health professional that she is today.Speaking to her about this subject was so illuminating for me. For instance, before she went into detail about some of the traumas she dealt with around her father's death, she simply asked me if I was emotionally available to hear specifics, or if I would prefer to skip details. Just this act alone changed the way that I will talk about big issues like this with future guests or friends. It was so simple, so kind, and allowed trust and ease for the conversation to continue on in. And this is why I wanted Meadowlark on the show...she is teaching me, and hopefully, us all, how to have these types of harder conversations in a way that doesn't feel as hard or uncomfortable. Beyond this, Meadow gives us a detailed list of coping mechanisms that she uses herself when she is triggered or having a rough mental health day. Instagram: @meadow_afYoutube: Meadowlark
