Julia de Burgos (1914-1953) was a celebrated Puerto Rican poet, feminist, and activist. She was known for her powerful, introspective writing on themes of identity, colonialism, and social justice. Her work highlighted the struggles of Puerto Rican women and the island's complex history. Her poetry continues to influence Latin American literature and feminist movements today.
