WHU 106: Creating a greener home without overwhelm. Trust us, it’s possible.

When I asked Emma Rohmann to be a guest on the show, I was a little nervous. I personally shy away from the environmental medicine conversation because I’ve often found it to be both blamey and shamey but also downright overwhelming. Emma takes her background in environmental engineering and her desire to help families have accessible green-home options and gives us amazing tips on how to easily start lowering your toxic exposures through personal care products, cleaning products and our overall buying behaviours. Environmental toxicity has a hormonal effect with toxins influencing conditions such as endometriosis and our risk for breast cancer. Although the conversation can be overwhelming and scary, it’s a necessary first step for all of us to take social responsibility and to improve our personal exposures. Emma offers amazing information on her website at www.greenathome.ca and through her private Facebook group. You can find her on Instagram at @emma_greenathome This episode is brought to you by our new Fundamentals of Macronutrient Tracking course with our Nutritionist Carissa Stewart here at Clarity Health. Our 4 week introductory course moves people from being overwhelmed by their nutrition to feeling confident in the choices they are making. We know successful nutrition requires learning and accountability. You’ll get a hefty dose of both in this online program. Registration is open and classes start November 15. Join us here.

Om Podcasten

Welcome to Real Integrative Medicine, where we break down the barriers between evidence and integrative practice. Hosted by Dr. Jordan Robertson, ND, our mission is to empower both patients and clinicians to make confident, evidence-informed decisions with integrative medicine. What's real? What does evidence mean? How should research change our day-to-day health choices? The show will cover the intersection between health, habit change and mindset to help you make confident and science-backed decisions in your health care. The podcast is the sister to our Youtube channel, Real Integrative Medicine, which is geared towards practitioners who want to make evidence-informed recommendations for their patients, without having to dig into the research themselves.
