Patrice Banks, Owner & Founder, talks with Laura Zarrow about Girls Auto Clinic. Patrice is a female entrepreneur taking the the automotive industry by storm. Once a self proclaimed “auto air-head”, Patrice took her engineering degree, became a certified automotive technician, and started a business that defies gender stereotypes while encouraging women to feel comfortable about their car repair. Through support, trust, and empowerment, Patrice has created a community of sheCANics. In addition to her award winning shop, Girls Auto Clinic, and monthly workshops, Patrice has released a "one-stop-do-it-herself-guide to auto maintenance": Girls Auto Clinic Glove Box Guide. The Glove Box Guide empowers women to take control of the wheel so they never feel mistreated, misunderstood, or taken advantage of again. It provides readers with answers to all of their common car questions through DIY instructions, tips, and illustrations.Aired November 15, 2017.
