Chef Kwame Onwuachi

Kwame Onwuachi is one of the most acclaimed young chefs in the country. He was recently named Rising Star Chef of the Year at the 2019 James Beard Awards, and he details his story in his memoir “Notes From a Young Black Chef.” He sits down with Sophia to discuss his path into the fine dining world - starting with his childhood in the Bronx, to selling candy bars on the subway. He also talks about his time on “Top Chef” and his latest D.C. restaurant, Kith and Kin.
