Ep 18 - Views from a stay-at-home dad with Jason Basa Nemec

“I love being a stay-at-home dad. And I still struggle with what it says about me as a man.” Wow. That was the title of the article I read in The Washington Post that instantly grabbed my attention as so few men are comfortable sharing their vulnerability with this role. I immediately reached out to Jason Basa Nemec, the author of this incredibly enlightening piece, a worldly freelance writer with a PhD in English, and yes… a full time dad. In this episode, Jason shares his perspective on defining masculinity, unpacking the ways society tells our narratives, challenging people’s scripts, evolving as a family, navigating social situations and the important roles we play in shaping our children’s minds. Oh, and popsicles.
